Medicare Specialist
Ben Rothering joined WDS in 2023 as a Medicare Specialist, where he educates retirees about Medicare, guiding them through the complexities of the process with clarity and confidence. Ben collaborates closely with the advisor team to develop and implement customized plans that best meet their client needs, ensuring a seamless transition into retirement.
Ben holds a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Physical Education with a minor in Adapted Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He taught physical education at the high school and middle school levels in the Madison area before his passion for health led him to focus on providing top-notch medical experiences for retirement-age individuals as a Licensed Insurance Agent. As his business grew, Ben expanded his services to include dental, vision, extended cancer protection, and life insurance.
Driven by a passion for helping people navigate the Medicare process, Ben is committed to making this complex system understandable and accessible. He believes in taking an honest approach to Medicare, ensuring that a vulnerable demographic receives the support they need.
Outside of his professional life, Ben enjoys camping, listening to music, and participating in sports, including hockey, football, volleyball, lacrosse, golf, water skiing, and snow skiing. He and his wife Becky are proud parents of three children, Henry, Hazel, and Wyatt, along with two family dogs. As a former physical education teacher, Ben continues to work with kids by coaching his children’s sports teams.
