Financial Advisor
Jacob Marty joined WDS in April 2022; he recently passed his initial licensing exams to become a financial advisor and is now working towards his AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) Designation. As a financial advisor, he is passionate about supporting local communities and enjoys getting to know clients and working with them to help “solve their puzzle”.
Jacob grew up in Monticello on his family’s dairy farm and graduated valedictorian of his high school class. He earned a degree in Wildlife Ecology from UW-Stevens Point where he graduated Summa cum laude and earned the Chancellor’s Leadership Award in 2014. Since graduating from UWSP, Jacob has been working on the family farm alongside his father and has built a direct-to-consumer business to market their sustainable farm products and support conservation on the farm. His wife, Carly, joined the farm in 2022 and is taking over management of the business, allowing Jacob to pursue a career in finance. Jacob is still involved with the farm where he frequently works mornings, evenings, and weekends tending to the animals and working on new projects.
Jacob and Carly had their wedding on the farm in September 2023, and are looking forward to building a home and starting a family in the coming years. In Jacob’s free time, he enjoys any type of competition or game, whether basketball, board games, bag toss, or euchre, and getting outdoors for exercise or live music with friends.
