Lead Client Support Coordinator
Kelly Nelson has been a vital team member at WDS since 2015. As the Lead Client Support Coordinator, she plays an integral role in ensuring seamless administrative processes while providing essential support to Lead Client Relationship Manager Ashley Rodriguez. Kelly oversees Jeff Lamb and Al Winsand’s schedules, prepares meeting reports, manages client account requests, and assists with 401k rollovers. During tax season, she offers crucial administrative support to Luke Wendt.
Committed to fostering trust and confidence, Kelly strives to ensure clients feel supported in every interaction. She brings the same dedication to her work with staff, leading the development and training of support personnel as a member of the WDS leadership team. Her focus is on mentoring and guiding the team toward success, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to thrive.
Kelly holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Lawrence University and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Northwestern University. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she is an accomplished violist, performing with the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra, a local string quartet, and other ensembles in the Madison area. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys attending Broadway musicals, reading, kayaking, hiking, and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers. She and her husband, Dave, a high school chemistry teacher, have been married since 1995 and have two children, Ben and Rachel, along with their cherished cat, Cedric.
