Luke Kraft leads with curiosity and a client-first approach as Senior Partner and Financial Advisor at WDS. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Luke translates complex financial concepts into clear, actionable strategies that empower his clients to make confident decisions. Always guided by a fiduciary standard, he prioritizes his clients’ best interests, ensuring they receive personalized advice and support. With a long-term vision to serve his clients, Luke aims to create a lasting, multi-generational impact while also developing a best-in-class succession plan for retiring advisors.
Luke earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, majoring in Marketing and Management with a minor in Spanish. His studies took him to Madrid, Spain, where he attended Colegio Universitario De Estudios Financieros, where he deepened his knowledge of finance. During his time at UW-Madison, Luke played for the rugby team, served as treasurer, and remains an active supporter of the club.
Since launching his financial services career in 2007, Luke has gained comprehensive experience across finance, mortgage lending, private real estate, and private credit. He spent 7 years working with a global private real estate firm as Regional Vice President and most recently was the Managing Director within the private credit sector. His passion for financial planning has motivated him to give back to the community through great organizations like Secure Futures, Journey House, City on a Hill, and the Community Warehouse. He is committed to impacting financial literacy and can be found teaching the ”Money Path” app at local high schools.
Luke’s leadership extends to his role as the President of the Financial Planning Association of Wisconsin, where he started his pro bono efforts five years ago. He also holds prominent positions in other organizations, including the Old Boy Alumni Association of St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy, where he serves as Second Vice President, and the Foundation Board of Directors for St. John’s Academies Foundation where he serves as a Director.
When he’s not advising clients or serving the community, Luke enjoys traveling with his family to places like northern Wisconsin, Destin, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee. An avid golfer, he recently fulfilled his dream of playing in Scotland. Luke is equally passionate about riding his motorcycles and cheering on Wisconsin’s sports teams—the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and the Badgers. Luke resides in New Berlin, Wisconsin, with his wife, Marta, and their three children, Lola, Makenna, and Landon.
